The Outer Hebrides consisting of Harris, Lewis, North and South Uist are mentioned on the weather forecast in winter in association with high winds and driving rain. Come the spring, the islands are tranformed, rightly rated by Trip Advisor as amongst the best islands in the world to visit. They truelly are a must destination for every adventuring motorcyclist. Remote with small roads taking you to stunning white beaches and unrivalled wildlife. You will return having lived one of your dream trips. This is testified by the comments on this site - it is a remarkable place to visit.

This tour starts in Gretna Green and finishes in South west Scotland covering 720 miles. On our first day we pass the iconic Loch Lomond, Rannock Moor with the most impressive granite outcrop, Buachallie Etive Mor before dropping into the mysterious and foreboding Glencoe and its Three Sisters. Frequent stops will allow the scenery to be fully appreciated. Our second night of the trip is on Skye at a hotel overlooking the Outer Hebrides where you will have the most brilliant view of Lewis and Harris, your destination for the next three days. 

On Harris, our three star hotel is conveniently located for easy access by ferry to North and South Uist and St Kilda (price not included), a must for many with a three hour boat trip each way.  Those deserted white sandy beaches and the world renowned wild flower carpets of the Machair along with camera shy otter attract only limited visitors. There are so many wonderful views from the many small roads and short ferries that we will take you on throughout your stay, that will take your breath away. The ancient history and culture of the people of the Outer Hebrides will not cease to amaze. The Stones of Callanish and Blackhouses of Lewis amongst some of the places we take you. 

In addition, you have the opportunity to join us on a day trip to Eriskay reached by taking the ferry North Uist then travelling south through Benbecula and South Uist to lunch where relics of the SS Politician of Whisky Galore fame are to be found.

We return to the mainland for our sixth night to Ullapool with stunning views seawards to the Summer Isles. We venture north that evening for supper to Lochinver at the famous pie shop. On our last motorcycling day of the trip, we head south along the coastal fringe to Poolewe,  Gairloch and Sheildaig then onto Applecross for lunch.  

We continue south from Kyle, the roads reverting from narrow and twisty to wide, smooth, deliciously long curving bends with distant vanishing points - undoubtedly one of the finest motorcycling roads in the British Isles.  Southwards to Gretna Green, you return having lived one of your dream trips.
